Some service provider, supplied a modem like this. It came with an installation disc, which you are going to use to connect to the modem from your USB.
For those of you who dont have router, but own the same modem shown above you can easily connect two computers in just one broadband modem and yet both accessing the internet.First computer can connect through the USB port and the other through the Ethernet.

Here are the list of computer tips you need to perform the task:
1. You will need two computers to hook up with one modem.
2. You'll need an ethernet cable and a USB cable.
3. You need a modem similar to the one pictured above.
4. You will need a web connection.
5. You'll need an installation CD to install through USB connection.
To be able to connect a computer to a broadband modem through USB, it is advise able to run the installation CD first, in by doing this it would guide you automatically on how you intend to connect and you select USB. It would ask a user name and password on your internet service provider, so make sure you didnt forget them.
Then connect the second computer to the same modem but now through the Ethernet,
just plug it in…It directly works straight away. If it doesn't, use the installation cd, but choose to connect with Ethernet.

In case you dont have the installation CD you can ask a copy of it and they will send one to you.
