Skype Videophone--Could it now be possible to See Long-Distance Family Members via VoIP Telephone Service... for Little or No Money?

Are you tired of hearing about the new Skype Videophone already...Or haven’t you heard yet? Are you unsure if VoIP telephone servic or is VoIP really what it’s cracked up to be?

Are you tired of dangerously experimenting with every new broadband phone service you’re told will deliver things like: free calling, crystal clear picture quality, free international calling and prices that’s comparable to Sasha Obama’s weekly allowance?

I know when many of you started using Skype you were told of the many uses, benefits advantages, free calls, VoIP quality, not to mention the reality of seeing love one’s even the one in Kalamazoo.

For those that decided not to participate in the new emerging technology and are wondering what a "Skype" is (even though I can’t imagine who haven’t heard of Skype) here’s a brief bio:

Skype was founded by Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis in 2003 and now is an eBay company (NASDAQ: EBAY). Skype created a little piece of software that changed the consciousnesses of the way we talk with our love ones around the world forever.

With Skype VoIP telephone service talking became reasonably inexpensive. No more watching the clock when talking with family member’s long distance. You’re no longer paying for unused minutes,( talk about a "scam".)

Fortunately, just as many of you were ready to give up, Skype has come up with new technology, the "Skype Videophone". There are reasons to believe this product is the answer to staying ahead of the ever changing world of VoIP telephone services.

What does the Skype Videophone offer that the Skype software doesn’t? The first is the most obvious; yep~...you guessed right... its hand held which makes it portable.

Remember the movie Ironman when Robert Downey Jr. was talking with his partner on his video phone. Yep...the future is here.

Some of the other features of the new Skype Videophone:

Features:

• Skype-to-Skype video calls are Free
• No computer necessary
• includes built-in screen, webcam, microphone and speakerphone
• transportable to use around the home or office with rechargeable battery
• the option to connect wirelessly or via a network cable

Skype switched gears because customers were continuously complaining about the lack of quality of the picture, pixeled up at times, and slow reaction time and a few other bugs.

Most important to know, Skype is NOT a replacement for your traditional land-line telephone service and can NOT be used for emergency calling.

Even though Skype isn’t the only video phone company and my guess is that they are trying to not be left behind by some of the other more recognized videophone providers, they are displaying the revolutionary, 21st century thinking. Good Job Skype.

This article was written mainly because I’m a video phone connoisseur and have had three models. In my opinion the video phone is the most practical, revolutionary technology created since the Invention of the telephone.( and according to the former FCC chairmen Michael Powell)

However, my last purchase was one-third the price of Skype’s Videophone and it is a replacement of our land-line phone service Equipped with Emergency Calling.

I think Skype delivers for the most part. Expect some bugs but isn’t that predictable in any new VoIP technology or VoIP telephone service I commented Skype for getting in the video phone game and not sitting on the sideline waiting like so many others.
