The term VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. People making call directly to other cell phone or PSTN number using internet with the help of a mobile-based software. IF anybody wants to start his own VoIP business and wants to own a dialer or create a branding as a service operator he needs the following:



1. A Mobile / PC dialer software

2. A hosted Softswitch

3. Byte server (optional)

4. Voice carrier route for various destination.

These are main basic requirement to get started.



A mobile dialer support mainly windows 5 and 6, Symbian based cell phone like Nokia, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson etc. Many dialer companies have been developed dialer today that can run on easily iPhone and Blackberry and other mobile handset.



Two major dialer providers in Bangladesh are iTel and gPlex.



* From iTel you can get Mobile dialer, Call through dialer, Call back dialer. For each type they have different version like gold, platinum etc.

* gPlex supplies mobile dialer of two types - Mobile dialer and Mobile dialer express.



These two companies provide hosted softswitch solution also. There are lots of other company like iTel and gPlex that provide all kind of VoIP solutions in Bangaldesh.



Carrier route is the most essential to make call. Without this a call can not be forwarded to its destination.

There are various types of route in various countries. For Bangladesh there are three types of routes, like White (with or without CLI), BTCL E1 and Gray. The quality of a route can be measured by examine its voice quality, ASR (average success rate), ACD (average call duration) etc.
